Dear Customers,
Modern cosmetics should be effective, safe, and natural. This is exactly what we at Dr. Massing Cosmetics stand for – with the highest quality standards, transparent communication, and consistent further development.
A good example of this is our popular LongLashes Eyelash Serum:
It has been regularly and rigorously tested, has a safety assessment of over 600 pages, and has passed all previous inspections.
LongLashes complies with all legal requirements and has been one of our most popular products for years.
Currently, a new assessment by the EU scientific committee SCCS (Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety)** is attracting attention.
In a recent draft, a specific ingredient – which is also contained in LongLashes – was re-evaluated based on updated scientific criteria.
This assessment may lead to the use of this substance in cosmetic products being restricted or no longer approved throughout the EU in the future.
Important: Currently, this is only a preliminary assessment – not a ban. The public comment period is still open until August 18.
Until then – and possibly beyond – the ingredient in question remains fully legally permitted.
However, we do not want to wait until a possible regulatory change comes into effect, but rather act proactively and foresightfully.
Therefore, we have made the following decision:
🔹 The current batch of LongLashes has been freshly produced, complies with all legal requirements – but will be the last production in this form.
🔹Our proven Sensitive Serum will remain permanently in our product range. It is particularly suitable for anyone who would like to switch to an alternative now.
🔹 And: Dr. Erik Massing is working at full speed on a new, forward-looking eyelash serum that will replace LongLashes – clean, modern, and powerful. The launch is planned for this summer.
What is changing: LongLashes is saying goodbye – a new generation is coming.
What remains: Our values and the effectiveness of our products. Thank you for your trust!
